ASUS Transformer Pad InfinityThe good news started yesterday when ASUS Sweden announced that it had begun upgrading the Transformer Prime (TF201) tablet to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The deployment was limited to Sweden but was a good omen that deployment to other countries would follow soon after.

Today comes word via Facebook that Android 4.1 upgrades for both the TF201 and Transformer Pad Infinity (TF700) would begin soon across more countries:

We are pleased to announce that we will soon be rolling out the Android 4.1, Jelly Bean update for both the ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity (TF700) and ASUS Transformer Pad Prime (TF201).

A more specific message posted on xda-developers indicates that the uprade will begin within the next 48 hours in both Canada and the U.S.: “For those users in the US and Canada, the 10.4.2.15 Release should be available within the next 48 hours.”
